An old comic book store became the home to Homestories’ NY operations. The commercial space was gutted, remodelled and redefined. Offering a neutral and flexible foundation for it’s retail activities. The 170 sq m space is treated as simply as possible to avoid any conflict with the rotating exhibitions and diverse selection of objects on sale. The oak flooring planks are stained concrete grey, the walls and ceiling painted greige, the shopfittings painted mouse and a tubular metal ceiling structure installed to allow maximum flexibility in the suspension of lighting, textiles and product.
